We aren’t the only ones anticipating a culture clash if Google’s mobile operating system becomes widely used. After Google announced the operating system yesterday, we wrote that some information-technology departs were likely to ban devices running it until they figured out how to respond to security questions.
Information Week appears to agree. Google’s operating system could make the mobile phone an even better business tool, it says, partly because information-technology departments could write their own software for mobile devices. But before any of that happens, Information Week says, companies will need to adapt their policies to deal with the new phones’ security and privacy implications.
